The other day we got a job inquiry. Her email talks about growing up on a ranch, hunting, fishing, raising cattle, etc. All great things. Then in the last few sentences she says, “I am however a girl. Can girls apply for this job?”
First of all, please never feel the need to say “I am however a girl” as if that is some kind of downfall. Secondly, you have come to the right place. If you are a handy, positive human who thrives in hard work, please join our awesome team of women and men.
We have had some seriously badass women work at the Diamond 4 - from dog mushers who have run the Iditarod, members of the U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Navy, women who start colts for a living, women with PhDs, nurses, doctors, lawyers, single mothers, engineers, ELIZABETH GILBERT (author of Eat, Pray, Love and top-notch human)...the list goes on.
I couldn’t be more grateful to have been raised around so many strong, competent, resilient, upbeat, handy women and men on the ranch. Now as ranch manager, I get to lead them. How dang cool. Cheers to all you incredible gals and guys of the Diamond 4 who have shared your badassery over the years!
