Wilderness Pack Trip
Escape into the heart of the Wind River Range with our Photography & Wellness Horse Pack Trip. This 6-day adventure combines the healing power of nature, the art of photography, and the adventure of horseback riding. Your journey begins and ends at our ranch, where you’ll enjoy rustic accommodations for the first and last night of your trip. Here, we’ll connect over a ranch-style dinner and breakfast before setting off the next morning. On Day 2, we’ll saddle up and ride for about 5 hours until we reach camp, where the landscape unfolds to breathtaking views. Once there, we’ll settle in, unwind around the campfire, and enjoy the first of many delicious camp meals together.
Over the next 4 days, you’ll learn new photography skills, with all levels welcome and encouraged to participate. If you don’t have a camera and prefer to use your phone, that is more than welcome. The best camera you have is the one you have on you! The photography workshop will be focused around capturing nature, people and wildlife, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and improve your skills.
We’ll ride from camp on day trips to explore the area, visiting beautiful destinations where you can take photos, swim, or simply relax and soak in the scenery. There will also be options to explore the area, hike, or join in on morning movement and mindfulness, which will be a gentle form of yoga, stretching and meditation.
Whether you’re seeking creative inspiration, a deeper connection with nature, or simply the peace that comes from unplugging for a few days, this trip offers the perfect balance of adventure and tranquility. TRAVEL: Arrive at the ranch at 4:00pm on Sunday, July 27. Depart on August 1st when we return from the pack trip (around 4-5pm). Closest airport is Riverton, WY - you can use Classic Cruise Shuttle Service from Riverton to the ranch - or fly into Jackson Hole, Rock Springs, Casper, Denver, or Salt Lake City and rent a vehicle.
